Rates & Insurance
Fees are paid with cash, check or credit card at each session. You may not schedule another appointment if you have an outstanding payment due. Fees may be raised annually, with at least one-month notice. Your insurance provider may have an out-of-network benefit and you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of the cost of your therapy sessions. I will provide monthly statements for those seeking out of network reimbursement from their insurance provider. Please contact your particular insurance company to verify that they reimburse for sessions with out of network psychotherapists.
If you are unable to pay my rate, I do make available some spots for a reduced fee. To receive the fee reduction you may submit completed fee reduction application. You will need to provide proof of income.
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and are generally scheduled for once a week. Couples sessions are typically 100 minutes in length. However, if indicated and beneficial, longer sessions are available. When working with children I meet regularly with parents and caregivers.
Telephone Availability, Emergencies
My intention is to be present at every one of our scheduled meetings. In most cases, when I must cancel our session, I will be available for support by phone.
I do not provide on-call psychological or crisis services. If you find that you need to speak with me prior to your appointment, please feel free to contact me but be aware that I may not be reachable and I may not always return your call before our scheduled session. When we do speak between appointments, I treat phone sessions as therapy (unless they are brief and about scheduling) and charge on a proportional basis (Note: insurance companies will not pay for phone sessions).
In case of emergency call 911.
